Between storm surges and floods, the film proposes a reflection on Rio de Janeiro's relationship with the forces of water based on archive images and soundscapes that evoke conflicting yet constitutive aspects of a city that, formed by landfill processes, seems destined for submersion.

Ivan Ignacio, Lucas Bartolo, Beatriz Leonardo and Luis Fellipe

Luís Fellipe dos Santos was born in Taubaté/SP in 1994. He graduated in Literature from UFRJ and is the author of the books Faces e Fases (2012), Cheiro Quente de Café (2013) and O Ser que Espera (2014) and Duas Horas e Meia (2019). Ivan Ferreira Ignacio, 29 years old, is from São Paulo, the capital, and currently lives in Rio de Janeiro. He works with post-production (specifically editing) in Cinema/Audiovisual. He graduated in Social Communication from PUC-Rio. Beatriz Leonardo, 26 years old. Art historian graduated from UFRJ and audiovisual archivist. He currently works at CTAv - Centro Técnico Audiovisual and at Cinemateca do MAM. Lucas Bártolo is an anthropologist graduated from the Museu Nacional da UFRJ and is dedicated to the themes of religion and popular culture. He also works with groups from the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro on projects related to art, culture and the environment.
