Paula Gaitán (Paris, France, 1952) is a Colombian-Brazilian filmmaker, born in France and currently residing in São Paulo, Brazil. Paula directed her first feature film, Uaká, in 1987. Since then, she has directed dozens of feature films, videos, television series and installations, including Diaries of Sintra (2008), Exiled from the Volcano (2013), Subtle Interferences (2016) and Light in the Tropics (2020).
