The result of five years of research and development, the feature film “Cavalo” will finally have its first screening for the Brazilian public as part of the 23rd Tiradentes Film Festival, which will take place in the historic city of Minas Gerais from January 24 to February 1, 2020.
“Cavalo” was selected from 178 entries and will be part of the Thematic Exhibition, in dialogue with the central theme of this edition, which is “Imagination as power”. The screening will take place on February 1. Immediately after the screening, a chat will be held, mediated by one of the curators of the Exhibition.
The project was awarded the Guilherme Rogato Prize, from the city of Maceió, and received funding from the Audiovisual Sector Fund - FSA for its production. The first feature film to be funded by a public notice in Alagoas, “Cavalo” represents a milestone for the state's cultural policy.
