Luis Henrique Almeida de Oliveira (aka sub.lim) is a pollinator and aspiring media artist based in Braga, a UNESCO Creative City in Media Arts. He is pursuing a master’s in Media Arts at the University of Minho.

Luis believes the Arts can summon portals to connect people with impossible worlds so that we can make them happen.

Luis’ works have been featured in virtual galleries, such as Spotlight#1 by Creativity, Culture & Capital, a rapid-response digital art reaction to Dream, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s immersive theatre play.

More recently, pollinatorDiplomacy#2 was featured at the Ludic Aesthetics Online Exhibition, part of the Processing Community Day Porto 2024 event.

The piece was also experienced on the virtual reality showcase during Emergência Ecopoética 2024 in Florianópolis, Brazil.

pollinatorDiplomacy#1 was randomly broadcast alongside works by 200 artists from 90+ countries at Culturehub’s Re-Fest 2024.

Luis also produced a video for the track “Sozinho num Suicídio Coletivo” by Ruído Roído @ruidoroidoband, instrumental music inspired by the climate emergency.

The video was presented live at the band’s new album release concert on May 25, 2024, at @gnration, Braga, Portugal.

PollinatorDiplomacy #3 was part of a collective installation by the University of Minho’s MA in Media Arts students on the sound art front. “Posto de Escuta” was one of the attractions of Ocupa#9 at gnration, the hub for Media Arts in Braga, Unesco’s Creative City in the field of Media Arts.

Pollinatordiplomacy #6 was recently selected for the artwork exhibition at the Intermediartes 2025, International Conference on Media, Arts, promoted by ESMAD—Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design, under the general guiding theme “Rhizomatic Connections: Creative Contaminations in Interdisciplinary Practices.”

Luis collaborates with LA-BORA! gov —a public innovation lab in Brazil— as sound editor for the “Ondas de Inovação” podcast. He is a Trend Local, a volunteer spotter for trends and insights that feed the global intelligence platform Trendwatching.com. Luis also serves as Associate Producer for Saracura, the film.
