“Multi-tude” is a video art nourished by the constituent powers of will, but it finds itself in the realm of doubt about the current moment and about what the next step should be.
In this work, the chemical element hydrogen, which is present in practically everything and everyone, and which constitutes a common but at the same time destructive element, traces a path between the fields of thought of the film, mainly as an agent of desire in the poetry of the Brazilian Augusto dos Anjos. The poem “Soliloquy of a Visionary” structures the video between the review of what was the multiple, and the questioning of what can give body to the suffix “tude”.

Fernando Moletta
Fernando Moletta (1994, Ivaí, Brazil) is a visual artist who graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Paraná, and has a Master's degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. He is currently an associate researcher at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. His artistic work stems from the investigation of the burdens of modernism in the present day through the confrontation of temporal notions that speculate on failure, biopolitics, allegorical plasticity and technological noises. These concepts hover like specters that articulate a body of work that is hybrid between video, sculpture and drawing. His recent exhibitions include the solo shows Três Falhos Tristes at the Gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and What is there between above and below? at the Blumenau Art Museum (Brazil), and the group shows 14th International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Curitiba (Brazil), Drifting Time Misplaced, Mono (Lisbon), New future, Industra (Brno, Czech Republic) and 50th Luis Sacilotto Contemporary Art Salon (Santo André, Brazil). Film and video festivals include Rencontres Internationales (Paris, France) and 36th Stuttgarter Filmwinter – Festival for Expanded Media (Stuttgart, Germany). He has participated in artistic residencies at Duplex AiR (Lisbon) and Stalker/Mattatoio (Rome). Awards and institutional collection include the Museu de Arte de Goiânia (Brazil).
