In the last three years, more than 29,000 pharmacies have opened in Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, there is one pharmacy for every 2,600 inhabitants. In the Laranjeiras neighborhood, when bakeries, snack bars, bookstores, and beauty salons close, the question immediately arises: will they become pharmacies?
"How pharmacies are born" is a video poem about this recent phenomenon of transformation of the urban landscape and the emotional memories we cultivate for our surroundings.
