Adrien Charmot studied cinema at the University of Paris 8 and then at Créadoc. His graduation film, "L'Innocence", was selected and won awards at several festivals (Festival Jean Rouch, Traces de vie, Rencontres Internationales Henri Langlois, etc.). He then directed Les Oiseaux de passage, produced by L'Atelier documentaire. He is also the founder of L'Oeil lucide, an association that supports documentary production in the southwest of France. He was a filmmaker in residence for four years at FEMA, Festival La Rochelle Cinéma, and works with Ty Films in England.
