Curta-Metragem
In 1934, an experiment was started by a couple of amateur scientists. Named after a genus of moths, Project Automeris placed a group of young children in a dense forest and left them to fend for themselves. On return visits, the couple would show films they had made themselves, accompanied by live music, depicting the outside world. To them, these images were a perfect replica of the reality they had seen on their expeditions. However, the films were carefully framed, edited and manipulated to induce transformation and trigger the development of a new society. This film revisits the remains of Project Automeris and recreates one of these films, made using the few remaining editing notes.
