Screens are restricted screens. If we break the limits, the light, the projection, the pixels, the frames, everything escapes and spreads. They begin to flow outwards and occupy spaces and minds in different and uncontrollable ways. The infinity of possibilities emerges, which cannot always be explained, only observed, absorbed, interacted, superimposed and urged. A new hope is created for new means, formats, devices and opportunities for what can be seen and done.
The ECRÃ FESTIVAL is an experimental art and cinema event that seeks to stimulate audiovisual culture through experiences that question the notion and production of moving images. By exhibiting films, games, installations, interactive arts, performances and video arts, ECRÃ encourages new formats for the production and exhibition of these works.
