Feature Film
The work proposes a type of transition, a passage from material to image. An attempt to portray the inevitable movement of becoming memory, the dance between the perishing body and the memories that accumulate. "Matter and Memory" is a representation of a metalinguistic exercise that is repeated daily, where matter is inscribed as memory.

Crystal Duarte
Crystal Duarte, 25, has a degree in cinema from PUC-Rio and is currently studying for a master's degree in Visual Languages at PPGAV at UFRJ. A conceptual artist, her work is developed in videos, installations, objects and everything in between, always interspersed with performance. Her practice proposes a type of reading in which images function as visual metaphors in a translation that the artist makes from what is inside to the outside. Thus, the artist aims to produce narratives, contexts that express certain feelings, generally associated with subjective anxieties generated by issues that plague anyone who has been abruptly spat out into the universe.
