He holds a Master's degree from the Postgraduate Program in Cinema and Audiovisual at the Fluminense Federal University, a specialization in Cultural Management from the Cândido Mendes University and a degree in Cinema and Video from the UFF. He has directed short films, including "Depois de tudo", starring Ney Matogrosso and Nildo Parente, which won over 10 awards, including Best Actor for Nildo Parente at the Brasília Festival and Best Foreign Film at the Jornadas Argentinas de Cine y Video Independiente. "Homem-ave" has been shown at several festivals and is part of the traveling exhibition "El roce de los cuerpos" organized by the Reina Sofia Museum. He was assistant director and researcher for the film "Olho nu", by Joel Pizzini, about the singer Ney Matogrosso, for which he won the Marco Antônio Guimarães Award for his research work at the Brasília Festival in 2012. He is the director of the short film "Sea of Fire" (2015, dir. Joel Pizzini), which was part of the official competition at the Berlin Film Festival, and "Barretão" (2019, dir. Marcelo Santiago). His first feature film "Yorimatã" premiered in theaters in 2016 and won awards at several festivals, including Best Film awards from the jury and the popular vote at In-Edit 2015.
