This work is an experimental documentary animation using the traditional Japanese technique 'ABURIDASHI'. It consists of three parts: Beginning, Middle and End. The 'Beginning' is a personal video made to commemorate my friend Hiratake-san. The 'Middle' addresses Hiratake-san's anger towards the government's response to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The 'End' addresses the fear of war that individuals become entangled in. This work portrays how my perspective changes over the course of 10 years, from an individual view to a national view.
