A meditative yet intense animated documentary-fiction journey, expanding the story of Earth’s creation from light to enlightenment from a different perspective. It is a reflection on artificial intelligence as a generator, a creator, using a combination of text-to-image, text-to-text and text-to-speech deep learning models. The output links AI to the source of human origins, to past narratives, to create a ‘cybergenesis’. The film experiments with duration and repetition, in a hypnotic collage of semi-abstract coloured images. It counters the online media culture of short, quick images, offering instead a longer contemplation. World Premiere.

Guli Silberstein
London-based artist and filmmaker, creating digital artworks since 2001, when he graduated from The New School University, MA program in Media Studies, NYC USA. Working with found footage, 'glitch' and now focusing on Artificial Intelligence. Work has been exhibited at several festivals and art spaces, to name a few: WRO Media Art Biennale Poland, Transmediale festival Berlin, Jihlava International Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Bemis Centre For Contemporary Arts USA and Royal Scottish Academy Edinburgh. Work is also curated online, at Sedition Art London, on the NFT Foundation and MakersPlace platforms and at Luba Elliott's Computer Vision Art Gallery.
