If you were to design your dream home now that you are nearing the end of your life, what would it look like? This question the filmmaker asks her father, the retired architect Karlhans Pfleiderer, is the starting point for the film. Slowly but surely, the house takes shape, first drawn on layers of transparent paper, then glued onto a scale model. Between words and gestures, the daughter’s film becomes her father’s last home, a space where unspoken words and unfulfilled desires can emerge, revealing coping mechanisms that have survived several generations.
