Vilar D'ouro, Trás-os-Montes, 1602. Martim Soares Moreno sees the sun shine on his land. Maybe it will be the last time. Soon he will set sail for the new world. The Sea Monsters, also called History, transport him to the future. Hearing words like independence and republic, listening to accents and discovering everything his peers have done, he loses his mind.

Philip dos Santos Barrocas, Isadora Maria Torres, Leo Bortolin, Lucas Eskinazi, Yuji Kodato

Filipe dos Santos Barrocas is an artist, researcher and architect. He holds a master's degree in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo, where he is currently working on his doctorate researching photography, literature, cinema and the “founding myth” of Brazil.

Lucas Eskinazi is an artist and professor. He holds a master's degree in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo, where he is currently working on his doctorate. His research focuses on photography, cinema and literature, among other things.

Yuji Kodato is a filmmaker and photographer. His research involves the creation of documentaries, video arts and experimental films, which have been shown in several Latin American countries.

Som de Black Maria is composed by Léo Bortolin and Isadora Maria Torres, a duo specialized in sound direction for cinema and sound art.
