Alex Morelli is an artist, filmmaker, and educator based in Somerville, MA. Drawing on personal, observational, and archival practices, he makes films that explore intergenerational memory, carceral landscapes, and the relationship between place and identity. His work has been supported by the LEF Foundation, Puffin Foundation, Flies Collective, and the Film Study Center at Harvard. He was a 2019 Flaherty Film Seminar Fellow and holds an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University.
