Vadim Kostrov

Born in 1998 in Nizhny Tagil. He shot his first feature-length documentary Cherdak-Underground on VHS, telling the story of the Russian underground of the 1980s and 1990s. Regularly returning to the Urals, Vadim created Summer (2020), Winter (2021) and the documentary trilogy Narodnaya. Summer received a special mention from the jury at Sheffield Doc/Fest 2021, while his previous work Orpheus (2019) was presented in competition at FIDMarseille and won the Best Film award at Black Canvas (Mexico City). In October 2021, the world premiere of the entire Narodanya trilogy took place at the 19th edition of Doclisboa. Vadim is currently working on the final parts of the Seasons Films tetralogy "Autumn" and "Spring".
