Mr. Toomey has an important business meeting in Boston, but dreads the idea of arriving. The only relief from his father’s screams in his traumatic childhood dreams is to obsessively tear the paper—tearing it to shreds. When he wakes up on his flight, there seems to have been a break in reality, as most of the other passengers have disappeared. When the survivors land, the airport is eerily empty, like a blank page. Something is coming to tear this strange paper purgatory of the mind—monsters that only Mr. Toomey can face.
