The film is set around the figure of a transhumant drover who once a year takes more than a thousand sheep to the heart of the Andes Mountains. Accompanied by six men and ten dogs, he crosses forests, cliffs and rivers in search of food for his cattle, regardless of the risk to his life that this effort entails. Selection of the FIC Valdivia 2021.

Diego Acosta

Diego Acosta Hernández (1990) is an Audiovisual Director from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and holds a Master's degree in Documentary Film from the University of Chile. He directed the short film "Huaso Chileno" with its international premiere at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, France (2016). He wrote, directed and edited his first documentary-experimental feature film "Al Amparo del Cielo", Best Chilean Film at the Valdivia International Film Festival (2021). He is a member of the CEIS8 film experimentation collective.
