In William Shakespeare's "The Tempest" we found common ground and a crossroads between our visions that helped us merge theatre and landscape, text and silence, movement and stillness in a gesture that leads us to question ourselves and find the films we want to continue making in the future.
With 'Sycorax' we return to this canonical text with a contemporary twist that blurs the boundaries of representation, allowing us to challenge a patriarchal understanding of a voiceless female character, Caliban's mother, only remembered as the witch who took the first step on the island.
