Rodrigo Ribeiro-Andrade

Rodrigo Ribeiro-Andrade is a black filmmaker from São Paulo. Director, screenwriter and editor, in 2020 he released the acclaimed “A Morte Branca do Feiticeiro Negro” (The White Death of the Black Sorcerer), elected Best Short Film by the Brazilian Association of Film Critics and featured on several lists of the year’s best films. He has won several awards, including the Candango for Best Director and the Canal Brasil Award at the 53rd Brasília Film Festival, the Revelation Award at the 31st São Paulo International Short Film Festival and the Audience Award at the 28th Hot Docs, considered the largest documentary festival in North America.
