“I closed my eyes. The audience made me smile, broke my body, and that was the end.”
By presenting the festive events held around the premiere of the film “Jean Galmot aventurier” by Alain Maline, in which the director’s father acted, Moune Ô’s images reveal the survival of the colonial heritage embedded in the collective unconscious of the West, always marked by stereotypes. From small gestures in everyday life, resistance to oppression emerges at its own pace.
