Early in the morning, magnificent tomb. Perplexity, in love with sleep, passion, sunburned mouths, seeking antidotes. Otherwise, if not, enough time to keep loves. Bird, rupture, mallow, white thrush, very undetectable thing. Fill the air with rose or liquid water, falling, flowing. Wet with dew, watered fresh. Of roses, rosy, pinkish, reddish, honey purple, crimson. Small beak. Buzzing of bees, noise; whispering. Of silk. Water clock. Day, day. Climatic sky. Seduce, separate, divide eleven at once. Explosion, cruelty. To see often or generally in yellow. This is unbearable, stuns. Death in 4, death in 2, useless instructions to turn away from things, avoid reflections. Pressure, compression of the lips.

Charlotte Clermont

Charlotte Clermont creates a dialogue between video and audio explorations to examine our perceptions of reality. The performative aspect of her practice, driven by the desire to transcend the illusiveness of lived moments, is embodied in her unique way of working with analogue recording devices. Using materials from her immediate environment, she works on the chemical sensitivity of film through multiple alterations, leaving a large space to chance. She holds a BA in Studio Arts from Concordia University and lives and works in Montreal. Her work has been presented in Canada and internationally at festivals and exhibitions, including the International Festival of Films on Art (Canada), Fracto (Germany), the Festival des cinémas différents et expérimentaux de Paris (France), IFF Rotterdam (Netherlands), Künstlerhaus Bethanian (Germany), CROSSROADS (United States), Arctic Moving Image and Film Festival (Norway) and the Edinburgh International Film Festival (Scotland). He was a resident artist at Studio Kura (Japan), Signal Culture (United States), Fusion Gallery (Italy) and Shiro Oni (Japan).
