From within the sound spectrogram of a fire in the Pantanal, the film evokes the phrase “La naturaleza tiene derecho a la restauración”, an excerpt from the 2008 Ecuadorian Constitution that, in a pioneering way in the world, elevated Nature (Pacha Mama) to the status of a subject holding legal rights equal to those of human beings.

Felippe Schultz Mussel

Sound Director, Audiovisual Director and Professor. He is responsible for the sound of over 40 Brazilian films, having received three times the award for Best Sound at the Brasília Festival - for the films "A Febre" (2019), "Morro do Prazeres" (2013) and "Menino Peixe" (2011) -, Best Sound Design at the International Biennial of Sound Cinema - for the short film "Vagalumes" (2021) - Best Sound at the Janela de Cinema do Recife and the Special Jury Prize at the Rio Film Festival - both for "A Febre" (2019). He directed the documentary "Em busca de um lugar comum" (In search of a common place) (2012), a film shown at more than 20 international festivals. He is a professor in the Department of Social Communication at PUC-Rio, a PhD candidate in Contemporary Studies of the Arts and a Master in Cinema and Audiovisual Studies, both from UFF.
