Lara Ovid

Lara Ovídio (Natal, RN) is a visual artist and teacher. During the pandemic, she incorporated tools from the online world into the creation of moving images. She was a co-writer for the feature film "Sotaque do Olhar" (2018), by Mykaela Plotkin. She wrote and directed the short documentary "Pedras Não Flutuam" (2019), about the city submerged by the construction of a dam in São Rafael (RN). In 2021, she made the series of science fiction micro films "Marcianas", together with Paula Turmina. In 2022, she is releasing the short film "Castelo da Xelita", an ironic and catastrophic desktop movie. She is a PhD candidate in Visual Arts at USP, a master's degree in Visual Arts from UFRJ and a bachelor's degree in Communication - Audiovisual from UnB.
