Pandemic. Brazil. 2020. She observes. The window connects her with others. Observing reminds her that there are lives beyond her own. That there are places beyond here. And they all continue to exist despite and independently of her. Beyond here, she sees, imagines, resignifies, understands. Here, chaos takes up more and more space. She tries to be beyond here. But she can't.

Victory Severus
Vitória Severo is a filmmaker from Porto Alegre, assistant director, photographer and a bachelor's student in Cinema and Audiovisual at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Since April 2020, she has been working on a photography project about people and the spatial fragments observed through her window. At the end of 2020, this project ended up inspiring the production of the experimental short film “ALÉM CÁ”.

Vitória Severo is a Brazilian filmmaker. She studies Cinema and Audiovisual at Fluminense Federal University (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). In January 2020 she wrote and directed the independent short film PEDRO. Since April 2020, during the pandemic, she has been working on a photography project about the people and the spatial fragment that she can observe through her window. This project ends up inspiring her to produce the experimental short film called ALÉM CÁ (BEYOND HERE).
