Saturday, September 26, 1936. A historic night for Rio de Janeiro culture: the first screening of Cine Metro Passeio, the largest and most luxurious movie palace ever seen in Latin America at the time. More than 1,800 upholstered seats - cooled by an unprecedented air conditioning system and surrounded by art deco architecture - are ready for the spectacular “The Great Mutiny” (1935). “Cine Metro - Immersive Experience” is a 360º video production that invites today’s spectators to relive brief glimpses of that night, from which only shapeless ruins remain today.
