It’s the four young actors on a trip to Kanchanaburi, “a city so meaningful and I’d rather die than be with you,” as the song goes. They stay in a cabin in the woods by the river, drinking on the terrace, chatting and watching the fireworks at night, the same scene they later reenact on stage in Bangkok. The tormented young woman is lost in the same woods, or perhaps in the young actress’s dream; when the screen splits into two distinct parts, it’s also unclear how they fit together. The quartet came to Kanchanaburi to see the museum, but it’s closed for renovation.
