Using all the analogue and digital means available to the modern filmmaker, from Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan and Giuseppe De Liguoro's L'inferno (1911), Stephen Broomer reconstructs the Doré-inspired visualisation of the first canticle of Dante's Divine Comedy. Selected for the Rotterdam Film Festival.

Stephen Broomer is a filmmaker and film preservationist. His work has been featured in retrospectives at the Preservationist. Film Archives, the Fronteira Film Festival, and the Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento.
