Two men travel to a rural area in search of an old root struck by lightning. While they extract the root, Beto helps Gaúcho repair the roof of his house, which is threatened daily by the construction materials supplier due to unpaid debts. Winner of the 22nd Tiradentes Exhibition.

Getulio Ribeiro

Getúlio Ribeiro is a director and screenwriter, with a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication - Audiovisual from the State University of Goiás. He is a member of the Dafuq Filmes collective. In 2011, he wrote and directed the short film Longe de Casa, which won an award in Goiânia and was selected for festivals throughout Brazil. In 2012, he directed the short film ‘O que Aprendi com meu Pai’, which was also selected for festivals throughout the country and Latin America. He was a curator for the premiere session of Cine Almofada, a member of the curatorial committee of the 5th Perro Loco, a member of the young jury of the 1st Fronteira and a member of the ABD Jury at the 14th Goiânia Mostra Curtas. He then produced the short films “Enquanto a Família Dorme” (2015) and “Jonatas” (2016), both of which were well-known productions in the state. He recently released his first feature film, “Vermelha”, which was shown and awarded best film by the critics' jury at the 22nd Tiradentes Film Festival.
