Julio Bressane, Rodrigo Lima, Rosa Dias

Júlio Bressane's expressive, poetic and essayistic work is among the most exemplary of Brazilian experimental cinema. He received the Bastone Bianco Award for Nietzsche's Days in Turin (2001) at the Venice Film Festival. Many of his films have won numerous awards at international festivals. Rodrigo Lima works primarily as an editor for many Brazilian films such as Arábia (2017) and Mormaço (2018). He began working with Júlio Bressane in 2006, when he edited Cleopatra (2007) and has since been the editor of all of his films. The Mirror (2015), his first feature film as a director, had its world premiere in Locarno. Rosa Dias is a philosopher and writer. She teaches at the University of Rio de Janeiro and has collaborated with Júlio Bressane since 1970, writing many of his screenplays. Together, they have made over thirty feature films.
