Family.Work.Shopping. is a visual-musical vaporwave mixtape inspired by the aesthetics of the 80s and 90s that raises questions about consumption, pleasure and the loss of identity in a globalized world accompanied by a soundtrack of shopping music produced by 猫シCorp.

Catsystem Corp.
Born in the Netherlands, the nostalgic musical project 猫シ Corp. created their own vision of American life in the 80s and 90s. Ranging from a looping weather channel to lush synths, 猫シ Corp. has released several albums and the idea for the film came about when their album Palm Mall was released. In keeping with the vaporwave program and its three core values, Family. Work. Shopping was filmed in the Netherlands and Finland over a period of over a year and then recorded on VHS.
