Referencing 1960s B-movies like "Saved Hitler's Brain" (1968) and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (1962), Ulrike's Brain finds Dr. Julia Pffeifer (Susanne Sachsse) arriving at an academic conference with a box of organs. Inside the box: the brain of Ulrike Meinhof, which was saved by the authorities along with the brains of the other three RAF leaders after their deaths in Stammheim prison. Film selected for the Berlin Film Festival.
