A reference for observational cinema in terms of architecture and landscape, Heinz Emigholz has made more than 40 films in his career. He was born in 1948 in Achim, near Bremen, Germany. Since 1973, he has worked as a freelance filmmaker, artist, writer, cinematographer, producer and journalist.
