Short Film

Seaworld is a collaboration between British filmmaker Hing Tsang and Anglo-Peruvian artist and puppeteer José Navarro. This experimental work explores the relationship between the topography of the human body and the landscape of the Suffolk coast. The foreground features body puppets - where the artist's body is used as both subject and object, whilst the background deploys footage filmed along the Suffolk coast. Both the body and the landscape are radically transformed through different types of juxtaposition and superposition in order to explore relationships between the human subject and the environment that are otherwise taken for granted.
