Pedro Tavares

He holds a bachelor's degree in cinema from UNESA and works with curation, programming, production and film criticism. He was the curator of the Indie Festival between 2011 and 2015 and assistant programmer of the International Children's Film Festival between 2010 and 2016. He worked in the production of RioContentMarket (now Rio2C) between 2011 and 2013. He is currently the director, curator and programmer of the ECRÃ Festival, aimed at experimental and avant-garde cinema. He was a distribution assistant at Zeta Filmes. Pedro is the editor of the film magazine Multiplot. He directed the short films Protocolo Spikes, selected for more than 40 festivals around the world, Férias Para Sempre and Kurt Everywhere. Escuro Horizonte was his first feature film, so far selected for 10 international festivals and released on video-on-demand.
