Jaime Guerra is a Dominican filmmaker and director of photography whose primary mediums are photography and documentary cinema.
His work is deeply rooted in the exploration of everyday life ("la cotidianidad"), often focusing on the nuances of daily existence, culture, and society. Guerra's practice blends both visual art and documentary filmmaking, creating intimate portrayals of the human experience, particularly in the context of Dominican culture. His work in both documentary filmmaking and photography, served as the Director of Photography (DP) for the film Ramona dir. by Victoria Linares Villegas.

His documentaries similarly focus on real-life stories and social issues,
glimpses offering intimate glimpses into the lives of individuals and communities. His films often center on themes of social change, cultural preservation, and identity, with an emphasis on documenting the everyday lives of people, their struggles, and their triumphs.
